Job Duties

• Demonstrates the ability to lead a team of 3-15 crew members

• Planting trees, laying sod, grading dirt and building patios and fences etc.

• Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of construction workers who operate skid steers, loaders, excavators, grade levels, paving, drilling, and other similar heavy equipment. (Training can be provided)

• Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers

• Requisition of materials and supplies

• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity

• Train or arrange for the training of workers

• Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions

• May also supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of related apprentices, helpers, and laborers.

    • The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in tasks like planting trees, laying sod, grading dirt, and building patios and fences, even if they haven't worked with blueprints and landscape designs before.
    • While a driver's license is an asset, punctuality and the ability to work long hours, including evenings and weekends, are essential.
    • Strong communication skills in English, even as a second language, will be valued as this role involves customer interactions.
