Job Description:
Skills: Battery electrical vehicle, Powertrain, Havey lifting, commercial trucks

Responsibilities:
Support product validation activities on the Navistar Vehicle Dynamics team. Test vehicles are class 4-8 commercial trucks and buses, both ICE and BEV powertrains.
This position will be first shift working onsite at the Navistar Proving Grounds located in New Carlisle, IN.
Vehicle Dynamics. Work closely with test engineers and technicians to support a wide range of vehicle build and validation activities.

Desired skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in the use of power and hand tools.
Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ballasting vehicles (installing load racks on test vehicles, load and unload ballast weights).
Perform tire changes.
Trailer maintenance and inspection/repair for DOT requirements.
Part swaps and installations.
Bed/body installation.
Assist with instrumentation setup.
General vehicle preparation and repairs.
Ability to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Consistently keep work areas clean and organized.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Competent with using a computer along with MS Office apps (Outlook, Excel, Word)
